The Safety Show and Sydney Materials Handling will boast more than 300 exhibitors, the National Forklift Championship and an inaugural warehousing conference when the two shows run from October 26 to 28 this year.
The Safety Show and Sydney Materials Handling are expected to draw similar crowds to the 10,162 visits recorded in 2009. With acres of safety, materials handling and logistics products and services under one roof, the two co-located shows will be the largest event during Safe Work Australia Week.
Sydney Materials Handling will be the venue for the Australian Warehousing Association's first Warehousing Today conference on October 27. The themes of the inaugural conference will include Distribution Strategy; The Environmentally Friendly Warehouse; Facility Layout; Material Flow and Productivity; Compliance in the Warehouse; People and the new IR Laws; Recycling and Reverse Logistics; The "Smart" Forklift; and Trends in Transport.
AusWA is also the host industry association for the 2010 National Forklift Championship, which will culminate in the finals on the last day of Sydney Materials Handling, October 28, when the 2009 champions will defend titles won at Safety In Action. This will be the first time the championships are held at Sydney Materials Handling and a new team event will bring added excitement to the 2010 championships.
